Sun, Sea and Hebridean Wrap

The Sun, Sea and Hebridean Wrap is woven on our new  “Italian diamond” threading, but we have used it to create the undulating wave pattern that is seen most clearly in the coloured warp stripes.  The bulk of the warp and all of the weft features our dark native breed yarn from our Hebridean sheep and the coloured warp stripes represent the Sun and the Sea – the yellow sunshine colour dyed with Weld (reseda luteola) and the blue sea shade dyed with Woad (isatis tinctoria).

A lovely brushed wrap for those cool Spring and Autumn evenings.
