Classic Overcheck Blanket

This Classic Overcheck Blanket is soft and luxurious: there are just two native breed colours – Dark Hebridean and Burach – plus twin strands of blue (woad) or yellow (weld) dyed yarn to create the overcheck.  It looks simple but is actually quite a technical design using colour blocks of 136 threads each in the warp, and a specially built weft pattern chain (with 260 links to be repeated 5 times in each blanket) to mirror the big warp blocks.

Brushed finish for a thick, soft blanket equally at home on a bed or sofa.
