Solar Blanket 2020

Our Solar Blanket 2020!  Created using lockdown solar dyes made at home, the blanket includes colours made from homegrown wildflowers, pomegranate skins from kitchen waste and bought logwood (a wee reminder of when we could go to wool shows!).

The log cabin design uses Shetland and Moorit yarns, with stripes of solar dyed wool in the warp.  Each blanket also has a few random stripes of solar dye in the weft, making each throw unique.

Warm and cosy, we hope that this memory of 2020 is a positive one.
